Fairy in the Trees: Fish in the Trees

Some of us are just fairies hiding in the trees. This week's universal message, vibrate with your soul's frequency.

There is a quote, I may have said it before, but it's a good one that bares repeating. "Everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by it's ability to climb a tree, it will live it's whole life believing it is stupid." This quote is attributed to Einstein but there is debate around that. What there is not debate around is the beauty of this message. Be uniquely you, that's where your genius lies. 

This universal message has been coming up a lot lately, personally and in readings. And it's not just judgement. It's environment as well. Judging the fish for not being able to climb the tree is one thing, forcing them to do something they aren't make for is another, in addition to placing them in a completely wrong environment for them to flourish. 

This image came from a reading. It is a fairy hiding amongst the trees. A miniature being of magic in the mist of the forrest, thick with brush. If you aren't looking for her, you may not find her. But what a gift if and when you do. This particular reading was a reminder to my client of her magic and connection to nature. 

The universal message echos this and the fish climbing the tree analogy - and begs the more important question, are you a fish climbing a tree? Why are you if you are? Is it because someone else wanted you to? Thought you should? Is it because you are a fish, but you grew up around trees and tree climbers and don't even know where to begin doing something different? Is it because your environment or those in your environment demand or command it? Why would you do what you are not made for? 

Is it because if you really tried to swim, you're afraid you may fail? You wouldn't be perfect? Your fellow tree climbers wouldn't understand? Have you ever tried to swim? All metaphorically of course. 

Here's the thing, we were gifted this life, these struggles, these gifts, these abilities. I do believe it is part of our path to celebrate, explore and use these gifts and abilities. To see what is possible. What we are made of. I heard once - God doesn't place desires in you that aren't meant to be explored - That does't necessarily mean if you desire to be a basket ball start that is your destiny, it means, play basket ball. Follow that thread. 

If you are a fish who fantasies about swimming while feeling stupid climbing a tree, find some other fish to show you the way. Or a climber who says I want you to succeed, so I'm going to support you in being a better swimmer, not force you to climb a tree more. 

The heart produces the strings to follow in life. The head navigates the way. Let the heart string lead. Find your people. Seek out your resources. Don't be perfect. Fail. Try. Do. But if you are a fish, for the love of god stop climbing the tree, and just fucking swim bich.

I haven’t broken many limbs in my life, but when I had a fracture as a kid I still have visceral memories it. Memories of how the cast smelled, looked, felt, itched.  How weak my arm looked after and how much my arm reeked of dead skin once it was taken off.  The cast guided my bones to realign. Growth, Resilience and Embracing Your Journey

The image coming forward this week is from the Magnetize Your Light Coloring Book and the title is, You Are So Strong. This week the idea, well there are several ideas, and the ideas are that one somehow once we get good at some thing we can change it or it no longer is a problem. For instance, when are you gonna stop doubting yourself. Maybe there's a time in life that you get so good at some thing that you stop doubting, or maybe you get so good at some thing and you do something for so long that it's no longer hard for you, or that as life continues at some point it gets easier. But that's not the case, it's an allusion I believe we tell ourselves. Because this world, this lifetime, is all about growth, at least in my perspective. When I change my perspective to that, that this life is not something to be conquered, but to be experienced, it shifts my ability to try and hold onto something, or to control something, or change something that can't be changed.  Beca

“Big Faith”

"Big Faith" This image came out of a reading has been haunting me in the best way since.  A young woman stands on her path, blinded and stuck by the fog that lies ahead of her. The fog is blocking her from seeing her journey. Scared, filled with doubt she remains still. Stuck. Her guide encourages her to keep going. But all she sees is the fog.  Once she clears past the fog, her journey continues. She is challenged on her path, met by an icy river that she must cross by balancing on mini icebergs. Now she can see the beauty of the solid ground that lies ahead. Her faith and focus become one. There is sunshine, life, love, freedom, beauty on the other side of the fog (her fear). What is required of her is to have "Big Faith" (my new favorite term that a good friend and beautiful soul, Kristin McCurry, introduced to me.) Not just faith, but BIG FAITH and the courage to walk the path ahead.  I read a quote by Oprah years ago. "You find your path by walking it"
