Grow + Plant: Blooming Where Planted and Planting Where You Desire
This week’s image: freshly planted colorful tulips among tall grass, or weeds in the background. The dirt around the tulips is new, tilled, topsoil. The tulips stand bold, proud, colorful and purposeful on their place in the earth.
One: Grow where you are planted
and
Two: Plant where you want to grow.
Two different ways of looking at the same subject. And also one really long message if you put it all together. Grow where you are planted and plant where you want to grow.
There is a reason why we are planted in a certain place, time, family, community, religion, etc when we are born. There are specific lessons our soul is asking us to learn with each encounter, scenario, situation, relationship. Each moment is a chance to learn something new. Evolve in some new way, shape or form.
The lessons are not our choice, but how we choose to accept the lesson, learn from it, evolve with it, is entirely up to us.
If we look at life through this lens, there is a constant opportunity for gratitude. Recognizing that our soul asked for this particular situation to grow, to be more compassionate, empathetic, take our lives down a new course, to help others, to dig deeper and find a more resilient strength within us, faith, love…
These lessons are rarely easy or pain free. The more impactful they are on your soul’s journey the more they seem to cut deeper.
“You are the sky, the rest is just weather” -Pema Chaudron
Emotions shift and change. They inform us. The sculpt is. But like the water in the river they are fluid in nature. Helping to carve out the boundaries of the river, while being held by its banks.
If we choose to not focus on the emotions as a constant (which they are not, but 1000% feel like they are in the moment) we have an opportunity to be grateful for the banks of the river that holds us. To shift from attachment to the now to trust and faith in the soul's journey.
If you are unsure of what lessons your soul is requesting of you, look for patterns. Patterns in behavior that surround you, now and historically. Patterns in relationships, situations. If there is a pattern, there is usually a lesson. I definitely have a few I am still trying to piece together like a million piece puzzle. Which can be looked as as frustrating or a massive adventure that I am grateful for.
Gratitude is a form of light. Being grateful amplifies the natural magnetism of your light. Of your positivity. When it comes back to you is not your concern, because it always will. And if you are dialed into gratitude you will not miss it.
This week’s journal prompt: Why were you planted on this earth where you were? What lessons do you feel your soul is requesting of you?
Where do you want to plant? What do you want to grow?
Till next week, big fancy buckets of love! ❤️
