Stay Curious, Play!: Embracing growth and joy in life

Image
STAY CURIOUS, PLAY! Sometimes you gotta just go with the flow.  Hold your purpose and keep moving forward through the chaos. Bruce Lee said 'be like the water.' This week's message: Stay curious, play!  This is one of my favorite sayings - for many reasons. Today I share a few reasons why.  What happens when we are no longer curious? When we know enough, have done enough, made enough friends? When we don't feel the need to try anymore or learn anymore? When become more afraid of failing than seeing what new opportunity we may explore? This I find to be the saddest part of growing up. The misconception of being grown. That being grown means that there is no more growing left to do. In my opinion, being grown just means there is a new level of growing to explore.  Play! Spirit is playful. If you have ever prayed or asked the universe, god, etc. for something and were not specific, you know how playful it can be. Playfulness ignites our imagination. According to Descart...

Me Time: Nurturing Yourself to Nourish Others

Image
This week’s image is of a man standing on a sandbar by water surrounded by reeds.  We all have a special place or time that is secret or sacred to us. A place we go as a touchstone either in our minds or physically when our minds become too tangled or knotted. A place where we can let the mind unravel and listen more intently to the voice within.  Years ago I remember visiting my yoga teacher at her home. After spending a few days with her, I saw and felt how knotted my mind had become and how unraveled and free hers was. By just being in her presence my mind started to loosen and relax.  It sneaks up on you - the 'knotting of the mind'.  Life is constantly changing and throwing new challenges at us for our growth. Having a ritual for 'me time' is important. Especially for those of us who are cup fillers.  What I mean by cup fillers is basically any mother, nurturer, healer, caretaker...Those who's whole being ignites when they can and do help others.  Whe...

Grow + Plant: Blooming Where Planted and Planting Where You Desire

Image
This week’s image: freshly planted colorful tulips among tall grass, or weeds in the background. The dirt around the tulips is new, tilled, topsoil. The tulips stand bold, proud, colorful and purposeful on their place in the earth.  This image is coming forward with two messages.  One:  Grow where you are planted  and Two: Plant where you want to grow.  Two different ways of looking at the same subject. And also one really long message if you put it all together. Grow where you are planted and plant where you want to grow. There is a reason why we are planted in a certain place, time, family, community, religion, etc when we are born. There are specific lessons our soul is asking us to learn with each encounter, scenario, situation, relationship. Each moment is a chance to learn something new. Evolve in some new way, shape or form.  The lessons are not our choice, but how we choose to accept the lesson, learn from it, evolve with it, is entirely up to us....

What is your SUPERPOWER?: Vulnerablilty

Image
This week's image is of a woman standing naked facing the sun cresting the ocean horizon. She stands without any protective layers. Arms open by her sides palms facing forward to receive the light of the sun.   What is your super power? Do you have one? Have you ever thought of it?  The message of vulnerability, as a force, has been coming forward a lot lately and specifically wanted to come forward this week.  Often we hide and protect our vulnerability. Somewhere along the line we are taught that our vulnerability is a weakness or something that needs hiding.  The message that has been coming up a lot lately is that of the complete opposite.  Vulnerability is an access point to our light. To our energetic and unfaltering strength. Vulnerability often includes honesty, lack of ego, love, truth. I’ll tell you a secret. - where you are vulnerable is where your super power lies. It is the access point to your inner strength.  So how do you find it? T...

Reflections as Catalysts: Embracing Growth and Radiating Awesomeness

Image
REFLECTIONS ARE OPPORTUNITIES FOR LESSONS This image from Magnetize Your Light - the book- has been percolating in my subconscious lately.  There have been several conversations and situations lately where I did not show up like I wish I had. Or was confronted with words, energy or situations I was not a huge fan of.  There are at least two go to responses in these situations: 1) blame. Aka full service option at gas station. Have others do the work. Blame others for situation. Let someone/ something else make you feel better/ fill you up and move on. Or…2) the harder route: Self Serve choice at gas station. Do the work yourself. Fill up your own tank and take responsibility for doing so.  I truly believe we are all frequencies and vibration. How we radiate bounces off others and returns back to us. Just like looking in a cracked mirror. Elements of our reflection come back to us - slightly distorted- from the frequency/ vibration they bounce off.  Realizing th...

Your True Essence: Embracing Your Inner Goddess

Image
WHO WILL YOU CHOOSE TO BE? The images I receive from readings are simple and (at least for me) impactful. When this image came, I saw a girl who had been hiding in a cave, protecting herself, afraid to come out.  She checks the opening of the cave, peering out to see if it is ok to step into the version of herself that awaits on the other side.  In front of her stands the essence of who she, is if she chooses to walk out.  A bold Grand Goddess. Wise. Grounded. Calm. Serene. A force.  How often have you chosen the small version of yourself when you know the Almighty Goddess lives within? How often have we hid our talents, goals, ideas, SOUL'S URGE because it didn't fit in or we were afraid of what others might think or even more scary who might we be?  If you allowed yourself to feel the full power of your Soul's voice, what might that look like? Feel like? Who might you be? Would you be small? What would you do? Who might you help? How? If you are feeling this i...

Faith or Fear - Which do you choose?

Image
This image of a woman, clinging to her ribs as she tries to connect to the infinite energy of her heart. The ribs form a cage around her. She is attached to the ribs, clinging on. What keeps her clinging to the finite, when the infinite cosmos surrounds her?  In my opinion, there is one choice in life. One choice we come up against daily, momentarily. Faith or Fear.  Faith=Trust in the unknown, present  Fear=worry, anger, judgement, doubt, attachment, past/ future I believe our capacity for love is infinite. Our souls are infinite. Our souls are all connected and on a journey of growth, evolvement and exploration of that one choice: fear or faith.  How and where can you choose faith over fear today? Where can you choose laughter over mistrust? Where can you choose joy over worry or doubt? Where can you choose growth over attachment?  Remember to laugh, YOU are always on YOUR PATH ❤️

Trust Your Nature

Image
TRUST YOUR NATURE The tiger/ The tigress.  The nature of this beautiful beast is: Fierce. Elegant. Strong. Wild. This picture of the tigress relaxing in the grass with the woods behind her, is showing her content in her natural habitat. She is who she is. All the beautiful attributes listed above. Her confidence and contentment comes from being grounded in her natural surroundings. Being free. She is not trying to be anything other than who she is.  The tiger is a bold. It is passionate, fiercely goes after what it wants and needs for survival. It protects its loved ones and is a leader in the jungle. It’s power is awe inspiring.  The tiger’s nature cannot be caged. Or changed. The tiger is a beautifully wild beast.  When our nature is fierce, passionate, strong, and innately wild, we may question its place in our society. We may try and cage it or tame it only to find ourselves with depleted energy and frustration.  When you know your nature, when you ow...

Break the Mold

Image
I haven’t broken many limbs in my life, but when I had a fracture as a kid I still have visceral memories it. Memories of how the cast smelled, looked, felt, itched.  How weak my arm looked after and how much my arm reeked of dead skin once it was taken off.  The cast guided my bones to realign. My arm was left weak from its training. When it’s support was no longer needed, it was taken off. My arm needed to explore itself again and regain strength. In my mind, our souls are like my arm in that cast. Where and how we are placed on this earth is the mold.  The mold trains us to align with certain messages and experiences - lessons for our souls to learn before we are able to break free from the cast and explore how to move through this life without it.  There comes a time in everyone’s life where you can choose to stay in the mold, or break free and explore what’s on the other side.  If you allow it, the light of your soul can shine through and break the mold you...

“Big Faith”

Image
"Big Faith" This image came out of a reading has been haunting me in the best way since.  A young woman stands on her path, blinded and stuck by the fog that lies ahead of her. The fog is blocking her from seeing her journey. Scared, filled with doubt she remains still. Stuck. Her guide encourages her to keep going. But all she sees is the fog.  Once she clears past the fog, her journey continues. She is challenged on her path, met by an icy river that she must cross by balancing on mini icebergs. Now she can see the beauty of the solid ground that lies ahead. Her faith and focus become one. There is sunshine, life, love, freedom, beauty on the other side of the fog (her fear). What is required of her is to have "Big Faith" (my new favorite term that a good friend and beautiful soul, Kristin McCurry, introduced to me.) Not just faith, but BIG FAITH and the courage to walk the path ahead.  I read a quote by Oprah years ago. "You find your path by walking it...
