Embracing the Unraveling: A Journey of Letting Go and Personal Growth

The Unraveling

The Unraveling - Time to Let Go.

Every time I am being asked to level up, learn a new lesson, or grow, it feels like what I call "the unraveling". The best way to describe it is, as if the skin I'm living in has become too tight and is shrinking. Like the world around me is falling apart. I have a harder time listening to my inner voice and instead of digging in deeper to do just that, I  usually follow up by a forcing forward and not feeling in "flow". The repetition of this feeling has lead me to recognize it for what it is, what I now call the unraveling. A time to let go of the old skin, shed it and start a new.

The image today is the best representation of this feeling and this week it has been begging to come forward. The image is of a person standing at a threshold, a doorway, holding the snake skin that they have already been shed, looking at the light ahead but stuck in the familiar and comforting dark of fear. Scared of the light and the unknown ahead.

Resonate at all? I feel like I find myself in this place at least once or twice a month. Spring, the season of letting go. Releasing the layers of protection that we cling to in the winter and freeing ourselves up. What if we never shed our protective layers of the winter as we moved into spring? How heavy would we feel? How uncomfortable? How unnecessary would the layers of protection be?

We all go through times of vulnerability - be it physical, psychological or emotional. Times when we need to protect ourselves until we feel stronger, warmer, healthier. It is easy to see this on a physical level. You wouldn't wear a winter coat in the summer. Why would you then continue to wear your protective coat of emotional or psychological defense layers once you have out grown their necessity.

One of the main things I love about readings, is looking at each individual on a soul level. Seeing each other as pure light. The only thing holding that light back is layers of protection that are no longer needed. A defense that came to serve a purpose but once that purpose was fulfilled the defense stuck around. I often use the analogy of  being energetically hungry and so the universe provides you with food/ ie: an apple. You eat it, but don't finish it because you get full. Instead of clearing the apple core, you leave the partially eaten apple in your aura. So now, what once came to serve now hangs in your aura weighing you down because it is no longer serving.

When the feeling of unraveling comes, it is a signal to me to start letting go. Letting go of force. Forcing life to move forward the way I want it, think I need it or presume it should go. This is a time of faith, trust and deep listening. A time to get quiet with yourself and ask, am I still on a path that is serving me, my soul's desires and how I want to show up in this life? Are the structures I have in place in my life facilitating my growth. Where can I use an edit? Where can I use an upgrade?

This unraveling that feels like a massive challenge, to put it mildly. It really is a gift and opportunity to co-create with the universe. Giving the universe a chance to lead. By getting quiet and listening. Asking for guidance and trusting you will receive it when the time is right.

Growth is uncomfortable because it is unknown. When we are kids we can't wait to grow up. All the challenges feel worth it because we are excited to see what's possible. What's next. What we can do. Are capable of. Then somewhere along the line we get tired of the energy expended when we try and fail. Forgetting that those lessons from the failure are the real prize. Growth is the goal. Hundred percent speaking to myself right now.

It's hard to keep showing up when the unraveling is calling you to grow. It's hard to get quiet and listen to what how you are being asked to evolve and level up. It's hard to continue to shed your old skin and explore a new one. It's easy to stay stuck. In the known or familiar. But if it wasn't hard, would it matter? Would it feel rewarding? Would you surprise yourself on how capable you are?

Not everyone is built for growth. Or trained for growth. But if you are reading or listening to this now, chances are you are curious about it. Or are intrigued by the challenge of it.

Our minds are so powerful. They are our most strongest weapon. Choose growth, choose fun, choose challenges, choose evolution. Choose play. Choose the best version of you and welcome it as it unravels, every time.

Big buckets of ever evolving love
